Prophecies-Only Beast Mastery Attack Choice
I'm doing a Prophecies-only Beast Mastery Ranger (won't even be going to Nightfall or EotN to pick up the starting Heroes, though he WILL use M.O.X. since it's available inside Prophecies), just for kicks and am wondering what might be considered the best pet attack to alternate with Predator's Pounce?
I can't seem to decide between Brutal Strike for extreme hits when the target's under 50% health and Melandru's Assault for some minor AoE, though if I'm missing anything interesting about the other Prophecies Pet Attacks, I'd definitely appreciate a heads-up.

For non elite skills, scavenger strike, brutal strike, or feral lunge would be your best bet.
Elite skill wise there is only one elite beast master skill in prophecies and that is ferocious strike.

scavenger strike is a good one to carry for e-management.

It seems odd logic to do a prophesies only character and use MOX.
I used to run brutal and scavenger in the early days, also predator's pounce as pets could be more fragile in those days.

Eh, not really. After all, he's standing there outside of Lion's Arch - don't have to leave the campaign to get him, therefore he's fair game.

Well, being a Dervish means you will have just about zero skills for him ^^
Or well, his starting skill I suppose.

You can get skills for him with Balthazar Faction.
If he's available without dipping into other campaigns it is the least intrusive choice, how odd as it may look at first glance.

Brutal Strike is so much deeps, the three buffs (Call of Haste, Otyugh's Cry, Call of Protection), Scavenger Strike for epic e-management. Might as well get the core elite too.
Idk, proph only is rough. Enraged Lunge is really what keeps the damage worthwhile for me, but you can have some fun elsewise :]

4 year vet, with most Dervish skills unlocked, so MOX won't be gimped. Haven't decided if he'll use my default Wounding Strike build or an Avatar build. But, since he's outside Lion's Arch, M.O.X. counts as Core, thus fair game. The only restrictions on this character is that he won't be leaving the Prophecies play area (heading to Embark Beach to get Prophecies-based dailies doesn't count, really, since he won't be able to go to the other areas from there), thus no other Heroes, and won't be using skill books to grab non-Prophecies/Core skills (so no grabbing an Elite Ranger Tome to get Enranged Lunge).

I think the being a dervish and having no skills was more to do with you choosing to just use prophecies, as there were no dervishes in prophecies, technically you wouldn't have skills for him...at least thats what i think LordKrall means
